Finding Strength

Isaiah 40:31 shows us how to face life's challenges by trusting in God. Life is hard, but finding strength does not need to be. We can find strength in God's word and when we trust in His ways.

Life can be really hard sometimes. When those hard times come, it is easy to try to trust in our own strength. It is tempting to think about what we can do to overcome the situation or to conquer whatever challenge is in front of us.

True strength, though, comes from God. This verse shows us that we are to trust in the Lord. Trust requires us to let go. We have to release our iron grip on our own problems and trust that God has it under control. We have to trust His plan and His sovereignty and that He has our best interests in mind. Then...we will find strength. Not our strength, but His strength. Not strength that comes from anything that we did, but strength that comes from the one who has it under control.

That strength is a lasting source of strength. It brings us rest, and it lets us soar.
